Dear Colleagues,
Dear Participants;
Turkish Blood Centers and Transfusion Association; Since its establishment in 1996, it has realized the lack of education and knowledge in the field of Blood Banking and Transfusion Medicine in our country, and has held many scientific events and meetings throughout Turkey with the Ministry of Health, Turkish Kızılay and Turkish Blood Foundation in order to contribute to this issue. The VIII Regional ISBT Congress jointly organized with ISBT in 2003, the XII AATM Congress in 2016, and the 1st International Congress of Blood Centers and Transfusion Medicine held in 2020 were all organized as international congresses of the Turkish Society of Blood Centers and Transfusion. This year, with the valuable contributions of many distinguished associations that have made significant contributions to blood banking and transfusion medicine worldwide, we are pleased and proud to announce the organization of our Second International Congress on Blood Banking and Transfusion Medicine.
Congresses are a scientific environment where employees present their work in the form of posters or oral presentations, as well as being aware of innovations. In our congress, knowledge and experiences in blood banking and transfusion medicine in the world will be shared, exchange of ideas will take place and information will be gained about innovations and developments in this field. In addition, by meeting our colleagues working in this field around the world, we will be able to establish close relations and gain future friendships. All these experiences will contribute to the progress of blood banking and transfusion medicine in our country and to increase the level of knowledge in this field.
Concurrent with the congress, the basic course program will take place as usual. The “Basic Course” is for those working in the field of blood banking and transfusion medicine but attending these courses for the first time. The participant’s profession or position is not important. The reason why it is called a basic course is that the basic topics prepared with the same content are conveyed to the participants by different speakers. The aim is to provide a standard initial training to those working in this field. Since the content is the same as the courses held in previous years, repeated participation in this course is not recommended. We strongly recommend that friendswho will join us for the first time attend this course.
In our congress, we will get to know each other better, learn, teach, discuss, explore different horizons by engaging in scientific interactions, and we will contribute to the international knowledge in this field as well as taking our country’s blood banking one step further.
Certificates of participation will be given to those who complete the Congress and Course program. We expect the participation of all blood center employees who have devoted themselves to blood banking and transfusion medicine. Hope to be together and see you at this science festival in Antalya.
Turkish Blood Center and Transfusion Association is excited and proud to hold the XIX. National, II. International Blood Centers and Transfusion Medicine Congress with you on 30 November - 04 December 2026.
